Maggie Grace, born Margaret Grace Denig on 21 September, 1983 in Worthington Ohio, USA is an American actor. She is best known for her roles as Shannon Rutherford and Kim Mills and Kim Mills in ABC's Lost TV show. After the divorce of her parents, she left Worthington in Ohio and moved in Los Angeles. Her first role came to her in the film, Rachel's Room's lead character in 2001 despite struggling in the financial department. The actress was able to secure a Young Artist Award nomination in 2002 with her portrayal of 15-year-old murder victim Martha Moxley in the television film Murder which aired in Greenwich. Grace Rutherford played Shannon Rutherford for Lost's first two seasons in 2004 as well as sharing a Screen Actors Guild Award (with other cast members) with her. Grace left the television series in the year 2005, to take on the role of a greater part in film, appearing opposite Tom Welling as Kim Mills in the film Taken. She appeared as Kim Mills in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club (both 2007) as well as opposite Liam Neeson as Kim Mills in Taken in 2008. She reprised her role as Kim Mills in Taken 2 (2011) and Taken 3 (2013).She also played Alice in Malice in Wonderland, a contemporary adaptation of the Lewis Carroll novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace reprised the role of Shannon for two additional episodes of Lost which included the finale of the series. Grace was a part of the show's sixth season, which aired between 2013 and the year 2014. The actress portrays Faith as a groupie and also a model for the stars. She's a Gyllenhaal. daughter of Stephen Gyllenhaal (director) and Naomi Achs (producer), and is older that Jake Gyllenhaal. Her first roles were in films of her father in his adolescent years. With her brother, she also appeared on the screen in Donnie Darko (2000). The year 2002 saw her appeared as a character in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. The actress also starred on Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal has received critical praise for her lead performances in Secretary (2002 the erotic romance drama), and Sherrybaby (606) and Sherrybaby (606) of which earned their Golden Globe Award nods. The year 2006 was the time she starred in several commercially successful movies including World Trade Center. However, it was her role in the role of Rachel Dawes that brought her more attention with The Dark Knight (2008). The year 2009 was the time she received a nomination as the best supporting Actress at the Academy Awards for her portrayal of a single mother in Crazy Heart. Following that she continued to star in comedies along with dramas, such as Nanny McPhee and The Big Bang (2010) Hysteria (2011), and The Won't Back Down (12). Other roles she has played include a Secret Service agent in the action-thriller White House Down (2013) a musician in the film Frank (2014) as well as The title role in the drama The Kindergarten Teacher (2018). Gyllenhaal debuted as a writer and director in 2021, with her psychological drama The Lost Daughter. For this film she was awarded the Best Screenplay Award at the Venice International Film Festival and was nominated for an Academy Award.
